I may be biased, but I know that this is THE PERFECT BAG for summer! Let me introduce you to The Bobble Daisy Bag Crochet Pattern!
I have been loving bobble daisies lately- and after making the Stitch Sample Video Tutorial for my Daisy Bobble Throw Blanket Pattern, I knew I needed a Bobble Daisy Bag to carry around all summer long! Daisy bag crochet patterns are so popular this year, and I know you’ll love adding this one to your collection!
It’s the perfect size to carry around this summer, measuring about 12 inches width and 11 inches height, and you can make the straps as long or short as you’d like!
Get the Ad-free, printable version of this pattern in my ETSY SHOP to add to your pattern collection!
When designing this bag, I wanted the stitches to be pretty simple, or easy to understand since this pattern does involve quite a bit of color changing. But that’s also why I created a YouTube Tutorial for this bag- I wanted it to be easy to figure out even for a newer crochet maker!
Let’s get into the supply details…
SUPPLIES
- ANY size 4 acrylic yarn. You can honestly use ANY size 4 yarn you want. I personally love acrylic because it’s affordable and washes/dries SO SOFT.
- I used a mix of yarn that I had on hand- random brands from multiple stores- but if I had to recommend a brand and colors for you I would choose I LOVE THIS YARN 100% ACRYLIC or LOOP & THREADS SOFT ACRYLIC, or even RED HEART SUPER SAVER.
- The colors listed are by I Love This Yarn 100% acrylic.
- For the Flower Petals #240 Linen (48g)
- For the Flower Center #156 Sungold (23g)
- For the main color of the square #150 Toasted Almond (130g)
- For the strap #72 Cinnamon (22g)
- 3.5-4.0mm hook (I used a 3.75mm hook)
- Scissors & yarn needle (optional)

Stitch Key: ch- chain, sc- single crochet, bob- bobble stitch, st- stitch, sl-st- slip stitch, yo- yarn over, (m)- main color of square, (p)- petal color of flower, (c)- center color of flower, ins hk- insert hook into stitch, pual- pull up a loop, Repeat * to *- repeat the text in between the *’s.
If you’re wondering “what the heck is a bobble stitch?” Just know that there are many variations of the bobble stitch, and all crocheter’s do it differently, but the easiest way to explain it, and how I do it, is with these instructions:
Bobble Stitch instructions: (dc 5 together). *yo, ins hk, pual, yo, pull through 2 loops*. Repeat * to * 4 more times.
To Start: (m) ch 11
Row 1: (m) sc into 2nd ch from hook, then sc into every ch down the row (10), turn (Each row will be 10 st’s total)
Row 2-3: (m) sc into that first st of the row (no turning ch), then sc into every st to the end, turn
Row 4: (m) sc into first 3 st’s, (p) bob into 4th stitch, sc into the 5th stitch, bob into 6th st, sc into the 7th st (make sure to carry (m) under these st’s for the next 8 rows), (m) sc into the last 3 st’s. turn
Row 5: (m) sc into the first 3 st’s, (p) sc into the next 4 st’s, (m) sc into the last 3 st’s. turn
Row 6: (m) sc into the first 2 st’s, (p) bob into the 3rd st, sc into the 4th st, (c) bob into the 5th st, sc into the 6th st and cut off color c, (p) bob into the 7th st, sc into the 8th st, (m) sc into the last 2 st’s. turn
Row 7: (m) sc into the first 3 st’s, (p) sc into the next 4 st’s, (m) sc into the last 3 st’s. turn
Row 8: (m) sc into first 3 st’s, (p) bob into 4th stitch, sc into the 5th stitch, bob into 6th st, sc into the 7th st, (m) sc into the last 3 st’s. turn
Row 9-11: (m) sc into every st of the row, turn
Next: (13:28 of YouTube video) Crocheting a border around the perimeter:
- when you finish row 11, ch 1. sc down the horizontal side of your square where you ch 1 at. Try to make 11 sc stitches. (we are going to sc a border around the entire square).
- Ch 1 at the next corner, and sc into every chain stitch at the bottom of your square (11sc total)
- Ch 1 at the corner, then sc 11 up the other horizontal size of your square.
- Ch 1 at the corner, then sc into every stitch at the top of your square, making it back to where you started.
- Make 24 squares total. Weave in ends before moving on, trust me it’s easier to just get it done now! LOL

Once you finish making all 24 squares, you will lay them out in this formation, and slip-stitch or sew them together.
Once sewn or slip-stitched together, use the color line guide above on the right, and fold into the bag formation. Then continue the sewing, leaving the top 2 squares open.
Green Line– Fold here. Blue Line– Slip-stitch or sew together here. Red Line– Opening/do not sew closed.

This is what your bag should be looking like!
Single crochet a border around your opening with your Cinnamon #72 yarn or any light brown yarn of choice!
Skip to 24:57 of the video for this step!
Now let’s make the STRAP:

- Locate the most centered 3 stitches at the top of one squares corner (at the opening)
- Insert your hook into the first stitch space and add your brown yarn to your hook. Pull through a loop. Then yarn over and pull through your hook to create your first single crochet stitch.
- Single crochet into the next 2 stitch spaces, located in step 1. Turn your work.
- continue to single crochet into those 3 stitches again. Kepp going until your strap is at your desired length. I made 138 rows!

Once your strap is long enough, slip-stitch or single crochet it to the top corner of the square next to it on the same side. Make sure the strap is not twisted!

Repeat to make the second strap for the other side!
And then you’re DONE!
