Crochet Hair Scrunchies are great to make for selling at markets, or giving as gift to friends, teachers, and co-workers.
In this pattern tutorial, I show you guys two different ways that you can easily crochet this jumbo hair scrunchie: In the round, for more advanced crochet makers, and also made from a long rectangle piece.
Both of these scrunchie tutorials are easy, and definitely something an enthusiastic beginner could accomplish, and they each have their strengths, so choose whichever technique fits best to your skill level.

I personally think that the rectangular pattern (the yellow scrunchie) is easier to learn, but does take longer to work up. The white hair scrunchie is worked in the round, which can be a little more difficult to learn, but is quicker to work up!
I hope you guys love this tutorial and make some great hair accessories this spring! Let’s crochet some jumbo hair scrunchies…

About
- Level: Easy (not necessarily beginner)
- The white scrunchie is made “in the round” by making a chain and connecting the ends to crochet in a continuous circle, then slip-stitching to close.
- The yellow scrunchie is made by crocheting a long rectangular shape and sewing it up into a hair scrunchie with a yarn needle.
- Stitch key: Ch- chain, hdc- half double crochet (U.S. Terms), slp-st- slip stitch
- Gauge: keep your tension loose! 8 hdc x 8 rows = 2x2in/5.08cm
