I say this all the time, but I’ll say it again- I LOVE C2C CROCHET PATTERNS. They’re easy to crochet, (unless you’re using a bunch of colors and then it’s not as easy and stress relieving as I’m going to talk it up to be… sorry lol) and they always look great when they’re done! Always. Everyone I know who doesn’t crochet, has complimented my c2c patterns more than any other pattern, hands down.

In this blog post, I’m going to teach you guys HOW to make a c2c stitch- the MINI c2c stitch to be exact. Oh, by the way “c2c” stands for “corner-to-corner” because you crochet your project from the bottom left/right corner to the opposite top left/right corner. In this pattern’s case, we will start at the bottom right corner of the blanket and work our way up to the top left corner. And we call it a “mini” stitch because this pattern will use U.S. half-double crochet stitches where the “non mini” c2c version is made with U.S. double crochet stitches!
I promise it’s not that confusing once you get the hang of it so let’s get started:
Actually, before that, let me just say that if you CLICK HERE you can view the YouTube video tutorial for this pattern which shows you how to make the stitch too! Don’t worry I’ll also be going over how to create a letter in the corner of the blanket, after this photo tutorial:

How to add a LETTER in the corner:
Now for the fun part- personalizing your blanket! I LOVE adding letters to my projects because they make great gifts! You could add the first initial of your child’s name, a last name initial, your favorite state’s letter, a sports team letter (with coordinating yarn colors of course!) the list of ideas is large!
Give your eyes a break from reading, watch the YouTube tutorial for this part!
Now that you know HOW to do this part, pick a letter!
